Displaying information over long distances, visualizing processes, operator guidance in plain text – these are typical applications for the large displays of the SX502 series. A wide range of types with character heights from 33 to 120 mm is available, from compact two-line versions to large-format boards. Readable on one or two sides
The large advertisements are offered with one-sided and two-sided advertisements. The versions with a two-sided display have an LED matrix on the front and back and display the same information on both sides.
Menu-guided parameterization
After opening the housing, the menu display is visible in the device. Operating modes, parameters and device functions can be defined in the menu without the main display having to be visible – a convenience feature, especially for large-volume devices or exposed installation locations.
Easy assembly and commissioning
The front frame is locked with quick-release fasteners and swings downwards when opened. Connections, assemblies and controls are now directly accessible without having to dismantle housing parts. On large devices, the front frame pivots upwards and is held in place by gas pressure springs.
Interfaces for industrial data communication
The large displays support the data interfaces for industrial communication: fieldbuses, network topologies, serial control, etc.
Function inputs
The devices have PLC-compatible function inputs. They enable device functions such as flashing, dark control and reducing the LED brightness (day/night switching) to be activated independently of the signals via the data interface.
Line-selective control
In this operating mode, independent texts, for example from different data sources, can be assigned to individual lines. Each line is viewed as an independent display and controlled selectively. The operating mode is advantageous if the large display acts as a central master board and shows cross-process information that is generated in different process areas.
Text storage
Fixed texts with an address can be stored in the internal text memory. When an address is received, the corresponding text appears in the display. This operating mode is advantageous if recurring texts are displayed. Variable information such as measured values, quantities or time and date can be displayed in the texts. A fixed text can also serve as a start text when switching on, e.g. B. “System trouble-free”.
Fonts and character heights
Character sets with different attributes are installed in the devices. The character height is 7, 14 or 16 pixels. The pixel pitch of the LED matrix is 4.7 or 7.6 mm, depending on the device version.
