The chemical and food industries place the highest demands on cleanliness and particle purity. In contrast to contact seals, GMN’s non-contact sealing components do not cause material abrasion due to frictional contact. This reliably prevents contamination of the machine and the product with abrasion particles. GMN labyrinth seals made of plastic also have a high resistance to a variety of acids (lactic acid), chemicals (cleaning process) and fungi.
