Races for GMN freewheels are made from rolling bearing steel and are hardened and ground. The series of complete freewheels FPD, FND, RA, FP, FN, the ball bearing freewheels FK (2RS), FKN (2RS), FKNN (2RS) and the built-in elements FR and FRN have races.

The small wall thickness of the races for press-fit connections (2–2.5 mm) enables installation in compact surrounding structures. The thin-walled rings are designed so that the desired starting gap height (h0) is only achieved after the rings have been pressed in or on (connecting parts made of steel; tolerances see dimension tables). The press-fit connection ensures the highest possible torque transmission.
