Description
The controller combines precise control and measurement performance with a high-speed Ethernet connection that includes an integrated switch for daisy chain connection to monitoring devices, panels or PLCs. Cybersecurity is certified to the strict requirements of Achilles® CRT Level 1.
Linking function blocks with optional math, logic, totalizer and special functions allows the device to take on additional system functions beyond PID control.
The EPC2000 is designed for a long service life and has a battery-free, non-volatile data memory FRAM.
Accuracy and repeatability
The EPC2000 measurement input is fast and highly accurate and has exceptional thermal stability, allowing precise and consistent control over long periods of time without calibration drift. As such, it provides excellent front-end control for processes that require precise control, including aerospace and advanced materials processing.
The Eurotherm PID algorithm delivers responsive and repeatable control and has been further optimized to reduce overshoot. The rapid reaching of the operating temperature and the low oscillation enable high process throughput with low reject rates. For optimal performance, different PID settings can be used in different operating ranges.
