Description
The DIN-A-MITE® D silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) power regulator offers a cost-effective, versatile product for controlling heat in an efficient package. This SCR controller has been designed and manufactured with the quality features expected from Watlow. The backplate mounting conforms to the dimensions of the industry standard mercury isolation relay. There is no need to worry about mercury; the DIN-A-MITE controller is mercury-free. The DIN-A MITE Type D can perform zero-cross switching of up to 100 amps single phase at 600VAC at 30°C (86°F), depending on the model selected. Two or three controllers used together can control three-phase. It is electrically touch sensitive and features standard wall mounting, integrated solid state fuses (accessible from the front) and a current transformer option for external load current monitoring. An optional “SCR detector shorted” function is available for some models. This model is UL®508 listed and C-UL® and CE certified. These approvals are ideal for panel builders who require approvals for their panels and cabinets. Versions with variable time base, 4-20 mA process control or VAC/VDC input contactor are available. All configurations are model number dependent and factory selectable. This power regulator also includes a 200kA Short Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) tested up to 480VAC with appropriate fuse to prevent arcing.
