Drive inverter, brake control and brake supply, charger for energy storage and a fully functional PLC: The COMBIVERT P6 integrates all these functionalities in just one device. This makes it particularly easy for users to respond flexibly to a wide range of requirements without giving up individual system know-how.
During operation, the drive actuators regulate the alignment of the rotor blades to the wind and thus the performance of the wind turbine. If a fault occurs in the wind turbine, the COMBIVERT P6 pitch converters quickly turn the rotor blades out of the wind – this protects the system from dangerous overspeeds.
Completed with a suitable motor and safety brake for the pitch system, three COMBIVERT P6 take over the safety travel mechanism as an active part of the safety system in the wind turbine. Certified by TÜV Rheinland, the pitch system can start the safety drive in critical system conditions, which achieves performance level d according to EN ISO 13849-1.
In addition to the high level of integration, the pitch drive controllers are characterized by the flexible connection to different turbine controls. Compact dimensions, a robust design and different performance classes make the COMBIVERT P6 a universal solution for onshore and offshore use up to the highest turbine outputs.
