Bistable brakes and clutches

The bistable KEB brakes and clutches, also known as flip-flop brakes or clutches, offer the ability to maintain the switching state without any additional energy supply. Switching takes place via a short current pulse exclusively to change the switching state. Compared to conventional clutches, this results in energy savings of up to 99%, depending on the duty cycle.

Bistable KEB products achieve the highest level of energy efficiency and are ideal for use in battery-operated vehicles as parking brakes, in door and flap systems and in air conditioning compressors, among other things.
